Go to veracrypt.fr and download the Windows installer. Run the installer and complete the setup.
Open VeraCrypt from the Start menu or your desktop.
Click Select Device and choose the correct drive. Double-check! This will erase the drive completely.
Leave AES selected as the encryption algorithm and click Next.
Use a strong, long password. VeraCrypt will warn you if it’s too short.
